What are crop circles?
Crop circles are patterns created in crop fields by flattening
the stalk of the crop at a certain angle. These crop circles can span from a few
meters to thousands of square feet in size. The designs formed range from
simple circles to complex patterns, which are created using curves, straight lines and
other shapes. Some of these patterns resemble advanced concepts in physics. Crop circles
have appeared on the same night in several places which are miles apart. Some
of the designs are so elaborate, that it would take a large scale coordinated
human effort to accomplish it.
How
are they created?
In case of authentic crop circles, crops are subjected to intense heat
for a very short duration which makes them soft. Then the stems are bent or flattened
around an inch above the soil usually at 90° angle. They are arranged one above the other and
interwoven to create patterns. Sometimes the swirls are in multiple directions.
Even after the stalks are bent at 90° angle, they harden into this new position
and continue to grow with little or no damage. When the seeds from these crop circles are planted, they grow 40% faster
than their normal counterpart from the same field. Most crop circles are
elliptical in shape and not perfectly circular. It is said that they are
created within a matter of few seconds.

When are they created?
As per reports, these crop circles are created during the night and are discovered by farmers and other people the next day. Some people claim to have witnessed the crop circles being created by balls of light. The complex patterns formed cannot be easily created by humans in such a short time, unless there is some advanced technology involved or higher intelligence.

Where are crop circles found?
Crop circles are found in cereal crop fields like Wheat,
Barley, Canola, Rice, etc. They have been found all over the world, however over
85% are found in United Kingdom. The prehistoric monument of Stonehenge is located in Wiltshire in UK and many crop circles
have been reported around this area. Some of the other places include USA,
Canada, Germany, Australia and Japan.
Some observations at a crop circle
site:
People have reported changes in energy levels at the site.
Some experience positive energy while some experience negative energy. This
subtle energy is a trademark of authentic crop circles.
Researchers have measured energy
at 5 kHz emanating from authentic crop circles.
Often compasses cannot locate north, and cameras and cellular phones
malfunction, new batteries drain faster.
Researchers say that
there is a reorganization of the plant’s crystalline structure i.e. the organic
structure is chemically altered.
The soil within a
crop circle formation is generally dry, cracked and dehydrated, even after
heavy rain.
When a flock of birds approaches a crop circle, it splits
ranks to avoid flying above the formation (just as if a building or a solid
object were there) and then reforms after passing the crop circle.
Hoaxes
Two farmers in England, Doug Bower and Dave Chorley admitted
that they created the crop circles. They said that they used planks, rope and wires to create
patterns. But upon questioning, they failed to provide concrete proof of their
claim. People saw this as an attempt by farmers to put an end to the damage
caused to the crops by constant visits from curious people.
Man made crop circles
Many people have created crop circles for art. One such example is the Firefox logo. However
the crops in these crop circles are damaged and have broken stems, whereas the authentic circles have bent stems with
little or no damage.
Is Nikola Tesla behind this
technology?
Some theories state that the genius Nikola Tesla had
developed a technology capable of creating such an effect. However it would
have been a disaster had it fallen into wrong hands, so he kept it a
secret/discontinued research in this area. After his death all his research
papers went missing from his room. He was indeed an asset to science and a true
well wisher for humanity, his ideas and inventions were capable of providing benefit
to the common man. It is possible that the authentic crop circles could be a
result of this technology. Some crop circles resemble the design of his ideas
and blueprints, hence all the more reason to believe that it could be true.

The Oregon Sri Yantra:
“On August 10, 1990, Bill Miller, a pilot in the Idaho Air
National Guard, noticed a huge etching on a dried-up lake-bed while flying over
it, in Oregon State in the United States. The massive formation was a quarter
of a mile in width and was etched 3 inches deep into the surface. In his
earlier round about 30 minutes before Miller first noticed the glyph, there had
been no trace of this formation. Neither had any of the other pilots of the
Idaho National Guard (who regularly train over this corridor), observed any
unusual activity or a design-in-process in this area. The etching simply
appeared one morning. The formation was oriented precisely in the
North-South direction. The glyph had a machine like precision in its shape and
clarity of lines. In Vedic texts, the Sri Yantra is defined as a
device formed by nine interlocking triangles.”
I feel that it is possible that such crop circles may have been
appearing over centuries. But the public awareness increased in the 1970s,
after availability of aerial photographic evidence. Many images and videos
taken from helicopters are available proving that crop circles exist. What is
not available is a solid proof which
shows how exactly the genuine crop circles are created. Some claim that
they are man-made while some claim that they are created by aliens and few other
theories have been floating around for a while.
Some of the designs are so elaborate and geometric that they consist of sacred
ratios, such as the phi ratio that governs all organic life. Many people have
tried to decode the message hidden in the crop circles. They say that these are
encrypted messages from extraterrestrials. The designs similar to spiritual
concept of “Kundalini”, tesla coil, Phoenix bird, binary data, etc. have been
reported.
Every year new designs are created and we continue to admire the creativity.
